Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the point of that short leashed clip was to prevent your pup from jumping out of your bag and possibly hurting himself. Kaji uses his carrier as a way of hiding from what he deems a scary situation. If the clip was long, I would be scared to use it since he runs away from a situation and goes to run under cars. Since it is short, it keeps him where I want him to be, safe in his carrier away from harm.
