Yes, reading the label will give you the best information, but baby food is often recommended, and this sounds like something new, I think it may only effect Gerber's food, but I'm not sure. The effect is cumulative, so giving it once wouldn't be a problem or the dog wouldn't show any symptoms, but over time, it could affect a dog, and a dog that was already sick might have even more difficulties.
