Kim, The APRI registry is a FAVORITE of the puppy millers. Where DO you get your information???
The AKC may have its faults but to say that these other off the wall registries are better is ludicrous. Of the the registries favored by mills APRI and CKC are probably at the TOP of the list.
As a matter of fact, I had a small time miller tell me he was switching from AKC to APRI BECAUSE of the strict rules the AKC was imposing on him, including inspection of his premises and DNA. PLEASE do not spread such misinformation!!!! |
There are many many more puppymill dogs registered with AKC than with APRI. I was relating the story about APRI regardng their record of registering historically correct colors. I am sure you are right that none of the registries are great when it comes to turning down puppymills with money to pay to regster their dogs, but AKC is the biggest and would have the best chance of making a difference and getting rid of puppymills if they stopped registering puppies from them.
I am NOT spreading "misinformation" as nothing I posted was inacccurate.
