We just moved a couple of months ago. I had a close friend take General Lee for the day while the movers came. That was a help. He did get stressed and pretty much stopped eating regularly for almost 2 weeks before we left. When we got to the new place, different state, I had him on the leash and we walked through the new place and he sniffed a lot. He also had to adjust to hardwood floors and stairs. It took a couple weeks, but he is fine now. They will get stressed it is how you help then through it that is important. Please take care and I hope all goes well with the move. |
