Maybe you could just find a inexpensive leash and cut to the length you would like and cut the other one off and stitch or glue a new one on? Don't know if that would be worth it but it might work. I would think you would have to be really careful on the length you want though, you wouldn't want her to have any chance of getting caught up in it or of her hanging out of the bag too far.
