Orasone is the "Trade Name" for Prednisone; Prednisone being the generic name for the drug. Orasone is an anit-inflammatory drug. This also assists in immunosuppresion in cases such as your little one. It stops the body from producing the histamines which are produced when an allergen stimulates our immune system.
If it is a food allergy the Orasone would still work on your little one. So in essence, it is masking the trigger of the allergic reaction. So you still need to find out if the food is the issue.
