I am so sorry about Sophie.
Our vet only gives the puppy shots one at a time. Every week or 2 spaced out. She said she does this to be able to tell which shots if any the puppy is having a reaction to so they know what the problem is. She only charges for the shots and not a visit each time the puppy is in for these shots. Then we have to wait in the office at least /2 hour after the shots are given.
Also, we chose to not give our dogs the Lepto shot based on info I discovered here on YT and because the vet's staff recommended against it.
No combo vaccines are used.
Personally, I would find a new vet.
