Tough dilemma but I think that your concerns are very valid. I would probably be very open and upfront with the couple. Tell them that you are looking out for Tessa's well being and future. I am sure that they will understand and certainly can appreciate the concerns. These days people are living so much longer and I've met senior seniors who shocked me when I learned their ages!!! When my MIL live in an assisted living facility, they were so active and a lot of them were as young as you can imagine! 80 is probably toay's 60. Best of luck with your decison. I truly believe being up fron with your concerns would be the best way to approach this.
