 Thanks Ann, I have a few ideas to share...
If the Yorkie Rescue or New Homes Needed was modeled somewhat after the Yorkies For Sale forum it would solve a lot of problems and quarreling. If the poster of the Rescue or Rehome was required to completely fill out a form similar to the one that has to be filled out when selling a dog, it would keep help streamline the listings and make it easier for those wanting a rescue/rehome to quickly look at the "stats" and see if it might be a good match. It would take some time to come up with a general plug in form that would be more or less revelant to all RESCUES.
Lately there has been so much talk of breeders being responsible for the pups that they produce from birth until death, it stands to reason that YTers taking on the responsibility to offer information on rehomes should assume some of that same responsibility. After all, these little ones often come with a lot of negative history and all care should be taken to see that their new forever homes are truly FOREVER!
If frivilous bumps were not allowed it would give a more equal opportunity for all of the kids in need.
And last but not least, if it was absolutely FORBIDDEN to post negative comments in that forum or to take threads OFF TOPIC -- with severe consequences to any violators, then the Rescue forum would be a much more inviting area for YTers looking for a new furkid. |
