When I went there I only saw the yorkies and her maltese. I do know she was breeding pekanese as well. I had my mom call this morning to question the breeder and tell her along the lines of "I (my mom) heard from a friend about the breeders wonderful breeding skills and dogs and was intrested in buying a pup from her in the near future" and my mom asked about all the different types she breeds. Sure enough she stated she only breeds CKC Yorkies, CKC Maltese, and CKC Pekanese. My mom even ask if she could get a (yorkie mix) morkie or a porkie and the lady said she has never hybrid crossed any of her breeds. She only does the purebreds.
I know people have bad bones. This woman seemed pretty honest and in this small of a town if you make one mistake the whole world finds out and you are done for. I know I'm giving her a HUGE benefit of the doubt but I'm seriously starting to think my dog just picked up a very bad gene. It could be possible Pixie has super slow hair growth and by the time she is a year old she might have a thicker coat like a regular yorkie would (at 4 months of age.)
