Poor birdie - but it's natural for them to do this - Both mine have caught them in mid air back when I had a nice fenced in yard (different times - same result - neither bird made it)
I was lucky I was right there - so never saw anything gruesome.
while I felt bad for the birds - I don't think they would have considered them a meal - it was more of a "Hey mom - Look what I did !" kind of thing - they ran around the yard very proud of themselves ....I hated laughing but it was like they discovered a real live squeaky toy. |
