OMG! Scared the poop outta me.
I'm in Maryland, stuck in this snow storm, we've got over 2 feet of snow by now. Certain areas are up to almost 4 feet because of snow drifts.
So we've been letting the dogs (I'm stuck at my dad's house with Jackson and their 2 dogs) on the porch. Somehow, 2 birds got into the porch and were stuck in there and we didn't know. So the dogs were going nuts in the porch trying to after them, and we're trying to get all 3 dogs back in the house.
All the sudden.... Jackson's got a BIRD IN HIS MOUTH!

Like a freakin' Retriever or something. I went "JACKSON, NO!" and he was just going back and forth (the porch isn't very big) and he finally dropped it, I thought the bird was dead but it quickly flew up onto a ledge on our porch.
I couldn't believe my 12lb Yorkie had actually hunted a bird, and caught it in mid-air! It was a baby bird but still.
In all seriousness, don't birds carry diseases and stuff? Should I be worried about that?
