Hi and welcome to Yorkietalk, Pixie is adorable, and that's a perfect name for her. There are two registries with the initials CKC, the Canadian kennel club and the continental kennel club. The Canadian club is a legitimate club, much like the AKC, but the continental kennel club is considered a paper registry, and will register anything including mixed breeds. Your dog does look like, perhaps, she's part Chihuahua, and many of our members have Chorkies. I do not suggest breeding them though. Even if your dog is full blooded, only those dogs that are the best examples of the breed should be breed, we have so many dogs in rescues right now, any breeding that's done should be very carefully planned. Your little girl also sounds like she'll be too small for breeding, most breeders don't like to breed a dog under 5 pounds, and it sounds like her full grown weight will be less than that. Many of us initially thought about breeding when we got our dogs, but as we learned more about the consequences and dangers, we decided to keep our dogs only as pets. |
