I'm so sorry you're going through this. It was horrible to lose your puppy, but for Petland to do this, is like pouring salt in your wounds.
Here in OK, we do have Legal Aide that will assist with legal matters for those that can not pay. IDK, if something like this organization is in your area, or if they would be willing to take on a pet store, but you can always try.
