Here's a couple of thread on choosing a breeder: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...e-breeder.html

I wasn't sure by your post if you were thinking about possibly breeding her. I don't know if you've bred dogs before, but yorkies have more problems than the bigger breeds, and if you are seriously dedicated on becoming a breeder, I suggest that you attend a few shows, and get to know some of the breeders personally. Most people suggest finding a mentor to guide you in choosing a breeding dog. Buying a pet is different than buying a breeder, but I still recommend that people go to the best breeder that they can find. I recommend talking with breeders who belong to the YTCA, they are the mother club of the AKC, and understand the problems and challenges that the Yorkshire terrier breed faces. Adoption is out of the question if you are planning to breed, they will insist that the puppy be spayed, but if you want a pet, adoption is a great way to go.
