Unfortunately some dogs just never get used to or never like riding in the car. My aunt and uncle had a poodle who would pant and pace in the car - all the time. They traveled extensively for many years and it never got any better. The only thing they could do was give her a sedative to help her sleep during the ride. I'm not saying your baby won't get used to the car, I'm just saying that sometimes they don't.
