I have to disagree.. I see so many tails docked so close you cannot tell if they even have one let alone see it move. Kizzie has about a 1 inch nub and I never see it moving it doesn't stick up or out at all! We can tell what she is feeling only by her facial or body reactions.
I have never seen a tail cut the same length in yorkies, cockers, cockapoos, poodles, english springer spaniel etc.. (these are the docked breeds I have owned).
Why can't the tails be done properly? Vets do NOT know the standard of every dog so they have to go by what the breeder tells them. So you cannot depend on the vets to do it right and so many breeders doing it don't know the correct length either. All 4 of my yorkies have different tail lengths. Only 1 of them is in the correct spot and one of them has a full tail and dew claws.
I think that if the topic is upsetting someone then maybe it's time to take a break from the topic.
