Yoshi is probably afraid of the maltese because it is all wiggly and he doesn't know what to make of it.
When they meet again, keep both dog on leash. Don't force Yoshi to play with the puppy right away. Take Yoshi and bring him near the Maltese but give him enough distance that he can escape from the maltese. If he shows any interest in the puppy, praise him. If he want to move closer to the puppy, let him.
You an also do what Ponyup suggested. Just remember not to hold Yoshi when you are introducing the puppy to him. |
