People were out-raged, and the laws were passed. I'm not sure where they got the pictures, and I really hope no one did this purposely so that people would be outraged, some people do believe that the end justifies the means. Sometimes, I believe that certain groups would like to get rid of show breeders.

I think it's up to all of us to protect the better breeders including show breeders. Backyard breeders and puppy millers, probably would like to see docking outlawed, it's just a big inconvenience, and can cost them money. However, show breeders are like artists, and have been developing an eye for the breed, and opinions on what they see as perfection. Is it wrong for them to create visual perfection? I don't think so, as long as they aren't sacrificing health to do so. Now people tell them what they are doing is wrong and the standard needs to be changed. It's almost as if some people just want to see the whole showing thing stopped. Some are against purebreds, (I use to be one of those, I had only heard one side of the story), and some seem to be against humans owning pets of any kind. I've read so many breeders say that if done properly and at the right time, pups hardly notice at all, and because these are people who seem to genuinely love the breed, I believe what they are saying is true.
Thanks for researching Nancy, I think its you Ive learnt the most from in a year on here x
