I am really loving all of these stories. I check back occasionally just to get a smile!

I can't honestly think of a time when I've been really upset with Sadie but my husband sure can. We were in Mississippi visiting his mother. Her house is set back really far from the road. All the little dogs in the family were sitting out in the driveway with the people. He insisted that it would be ok to let Sadie off the leash of a little bit. He promised to follow her around and not let her five feet away from him. He followed her around the back of the house between their house and the next door neighbors. He thought everything was good because the neighbors had a fence on the side of their yard and the bayou was in the back. Sadie trotted down to the edge of the water, looked back and just jumped in. All he could think of was snapping turtles and snakes and that nothing had better happen to her on his watch.
He jumped right in after her. He came back around the house carrying a wet, muddy dog and he himself was muddy and wet all the way up to his waist. His wallet and cell phone both got wet. The look on his face was priceless. The funny thing is that she didn't start shaking till we got to the bathroom to give her a bath. I guess only clean water scares her. It's a funny story now but needless to say she lost all hope of any freedom ever again!
