Imagine my surprise when I was smelling urine in a bedroom but couldn't find any spots due to the carpet color. Got a blacklight flashlight and found the spot right away. For grins, I used it on my light colored carpet also and almost croaked when I saw all the "glowing" spots. With the lights on, you couldn't see anything except clean carpt. With the flashlight it looked like we had stepped on little glowing aliens everywhere! So, while Nature's Miracle may "clean" the stain, and neutralize the odor, it evidently doesn't "clean" everything. Something still glows. I am having my carpet cleaned! |
We bought the black light too, and you will find that if you spray the little spots, and give it time, they will disappear. It takes time for the enzymes to actually eat the protein. We had a neighbor's cat come in a spray in the house; it was the most horrible odor, yet we couldn't find the exact spot. We used the black light to detect the spot, and it took about 4-6 doses of Nature's Miracle to completely eradicate the odor and spot, that was only visible with a black light.
