I live in a puppy mill hotbed, and have been to a dog auction...if you want to know depressing and sad, that is it.
That auction is my driving force behind why people should NEVER buy from a pet store. The dogs look all cute and such at a pet store, but what they don't see is the 5 dogs stuck in a cage ready to be sold and a female dog being described as a good mother and can welp her own litters....sad sad sad. My bf finally made us leave as he wasn't able to handle it at all....
This same auction was selling heaters, food bowls for cages, and other things that if you actually love your dog you would never need.
I just wish I would have had the guts to take pictures or video (they took away all cameras they saw or made you delete them in front of them)
That was about 2 years ago and the images are still seared in my mind.... |
