True, but I will tell you I requested blood work, and my vet told me that her blood work looked great! It really pays to know your dog. When my vet called to tell me my dog was pregnant he literally wanted to close her back up, but I argued with him, literally, and told him it was impossible that she was pregnant. I know they have heard that a million times, but my dog is ALWAYS right by my side and she is always watched when she goes out, not to mention that we have a secure privacy fence. So, I assured him she was not pregnant and to continue with the spay and look for something else. So, after they removed her uterus they opened it, and found the infection.
