It sounded nothing like Pyometritis. You're girl is much to young, only being her 2nd heat. What sometimes happens is when females experience false pregnancies, they are left wide open and can contract an infection, which sounds like what has happened to your girl. Good your vet put her on antibiotics, it's what should be done when a female experiences a false pregnancy
