I am so sorry you are facing this most difficult and sad decision. Just a year ago I had to put my Pom down at the age of 12 after several years of failing health and the year before I had to put Dixie my 7 month old yorkie to sleep after she was found to have congenital kidney failure. With both when the time came there really wasn't any decision to make as they were both very sick and no hope of improving. It is so difficult and I always stay with my babies and hold them when the time comes as I want them to go peacefully in my arms. You will know when the time is right. Hugs |
