I hope it's okay to ask this here.

I have had so much frustration with our land line service that I decided to disconnect it, thankfully I was able to port our home land line number over to our Verizon cell phone, which I have been very happy with Verizon company and their service. Wish we could have had a choice for land line but where we live there was only one company available

I felt un-at-ease just having only one cell phone, our friends suggested magicJack, as they had seen and heard of it on the news. I bought the magicJack today but haven't connected it yet to our computer, was wondering if there is anyone here that has it and what is your opinion?

I appreciate comments regarding the above. I felt very sad and dissapointed to have to give up our landline connection and then felt uncomfortable after I did so. With Jack's condition I just want to make sure I have proper phone communication available for us.
