If the manual overwhelms you right now, don't worry, as you use the camera, it will get easier to get through the book. But if you only read one thing in the manual, read and learn how to set the camera back to "factory" settings (master reset). If the camera ever gets out of wack or you can't figure out what might have changed, this is the one solution you always want to know.
These DSLR's are a challenge at first even to those who are used to shooting regular SLR Film cameras, because of all the menus and settings etc. So you are not alone! It gets easier!

Oh yeah, and can't wait to see some Bailey pictures!!!
Thanks for telling me about the factory settings, I am going to have to read about that for sure! Thanks for the encouragement as well, I hope I learn fairly quickly, I not very patient!
