yes it sounds like ibd issue to me - the intestines get inflamed and stuff can get trapped in intestinal tract thus causing gas build up to happen as well so this could very well be what is going on - Does your dog vomit or diarrhea at all or just gas?
per our internal medicine specialist she told me chicken may not work for ibd dogs as ibd is tied to food intolerance and allergy dogs tend to have ibd as well. Also white potato diets really upset my ibd dog so stay clear of inflammatory gassy foods and white potato is one of them. With ibd dogs i think grains work better. I would give the lamb and rice a shot - does it seem like your dog has constipation? If so I would do a little organic pumpkin as well. I get it at whole foods.
ibd will not show up on any blood work per se - the only thing that will give an indicator of it is if amylase and lipase are high but dog is not having pancreatitis symptoms and cpli is high but no symptoms of pancreatitis. The only true diagnosis is scoping the intestines and taking a biopsy but i never went that route as i got him on a diet that worked for him for 4 years now. He is on purina ha it is a hydrolized soy diet.
This breed has very sensitive stomachs
and it is tough sometimes to get to the right formula that works
I have not heard of the baby gas pills but worth investigating until you can get on to a diet that works
pepcid a/c is used to control the stomach acids in stomach so the dog does not get an ulcer
