I had my Suzi on By Nature which was rated a 4 , so is the Blue Buffalo. The Welness , small breed , is a rating of 5. it is actually higher protein content . This is only the research that I have done on the difference of the 2. But , Wellness does have 2 lower quality brands of dog foods out there that are rated a 2. SO it depends on what was bought. not all is the same.
