omg yes!!!! ppl ask ALL the time! When i was a yorkie newbie and had first gotten Teddy i would tell ppl the truth but over the years i learned from experience not to tell them. There are several reasons why. Well one time this ignorant lady on the train saw me with London and kept staring at her. Finally she asked 'how much she cost?' I told her and she looked at me like I had 3 heads and said 'for a DOG?!' just like that. I could just tell she was ignorant. Anyway after that i stopped telling ppl. But anyway now I just tell them it was a gift from my mom or something..and then sometimes ppl will say 'Oh they cost like 2 grand right?' and I'll be like 'No, not at all' because I know if I say yes some word gets around..and bad ppl will think to steal them to sell them. It's horrible. I actually dissuade ppl that 'say' they want one just cause they are cute...unless someone is REALLY interested and I know them. |
