Maggie is 8 months old now. I had read in a book, that when they are puppies to teach them what is their toys and what is not. Mag has two boxes of toys. One hard, squeaky things and the other box is her stuff animals. I am retired, so watching to make sure she chooses her toys and not the furniture has been easy. They are extremely smart. When Mag would start to think about chewing on something that was not hers, I would tell her "No" very sharply. You must catch them in the act though.
