I am so sorry for your loss.

I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago. I went outside with my Jinny and the neighbors big dog attacked her. She had puncher wounds all over her body. She spent several nights at the vet. I brought her home and she lived a few days. Her lungs filled up with fluid. I can still hear her gasping for air in my mind.

I checked with everyone I could to find someway to press charges. My problem was in my county there is not a leash law. The owners of the dog when I went to the door and told them told me their dog had been there the whole time.

A few says later the same dog did the same thing to another neighbors shih tzu. He shot and killed the dog on the spot. I stoped by and thanked him and told me if there was anything I could do to help him I would. The big dogs owners where trying to take him to court.
