How often does this happen?
I also have a JackRussell/Pug cross, she is 3 years old. So far she seems to love my little yorkie. But I do watch when they play & stop the play if I think it is getting too rough. Now I am really nervous!! | There was a beautiful 1 yr old boxer, the owner's, that was always at my home terminal, when I was driving truck. She was very used to playing with tiny little dogs and was very sweet to my three little ones. One morning I walked into the driver's room, my 2 Yorkies were inside the front of my jacket and my ancient Lhasa was on her leash. I went to the counter to put some paper work down and the boxer attacked my Lhasa. Fortunately the dispatcher, a really big man, was there. It was all he could do to pull the boxer off my little one. If my Lhasa had not been in full coat, she would have been killed. Between the dispatcher pulling the boxer off and my Lhasas long hair, tragedy was averted. Since my truck was in the repair shop up town, I had no choice but to stay in the driver's room with the fur kids. I held all three of them for the whole day! The dispatcher said that the boxer had started attacking the little dogs ocassionally, without any warning, then 10 minutes later be there to play.
I would never leave a small fur kid with a large one without supervision after that experience.
