The only way we got through to Loki that the right place to poop was outside was to PICK HIM UP while he was squatting and carry him there. We did this 2 or 3 times and he got it. He'll be a year old next week and he has only pooped in the house once in the last 6 months and that's because he was sick with diarhea.

He did the food thing too and is getting better. He will definately eat it out of his bowl now. He has new food which he likes better and also new BIG bowls that let the food spread out (he was the same about it touching). He still carries it in the other room sometimes though. Also, he did not like his stainless steel bowls. He likes his ceramic ones better. He's wierd. They will not starve if food is out, so don't give in for too long. Eventually they need to learn to eat out of the bowl.
