I think just about all yorkies start off taking food somewhere else to eat it. Caleb used to take every bite out of the kitchen to where the carpet starts in the living room. They will grow out of it though. As for pooping, we trained Caleb to go outside from the very begining, no pads. I think it ended up being easier because there was little transition. But he did do that sometimes, pee outside and then as soon as we came inside he would poo. You just have to let him know that it is not ok to go on the floor inside, it's bad and "potty outside" (if he knows those words). Maybe punish him by sitting in a corner for 5 minutes (no family time) might work.

But I do notice that when he goes to poo outside he goes to previous spots that he's done it and smells his scent. So placing the poo might work too.
