Mine chewed the carpet too and just days ago redescovered the spot that we had covered with a big plant and managed to chew down to the padding under the carpet
My husband just finished repairing the holes in the wall and the kitchen cabinets because they have slowed down on their chewing...they are close to eight months old now. They will outgrow it...with time
