their own website says they do not allow potential buyers to see the facility. So if you have seen the facility doesn't that prove you are affiliated with them somehow? Do you work for them?
btw the FAQs page was hilarious. |
Hmm, yes I guess it would make it look that way. I must appologize for the way I answered, I wasn't clear on my stand.
Firstly, I am not affiliated with them except for buying a pup from them a couple of years ago.
They were allowing kennel visits still when I went and got my puppy. And they had nowhere near the dogs they have now.. I went to the web site and counted each pup on the site and it was right around 140ish (it was a couple of days ago I looked).
And they didn't used to have that many mixed breeds. they had mainly the poo mixes and some purebreds.I am really surprised by the funky mixes they have now and of course the amount.
I loath "puppy mills", or anyone who does not care for their dog, abuse/neglect, etc.. I don't care if it's 1 dog or 800. I feel anything about 50 dogs is to many. I do not support commercial breeders that sell to auctions or pet stores.
But I do not have a problem with people making some money from breeding under the right conditions. It is their right. I support small hobby breeders and have bought my yorkies from breeders like that.
Anyhow. My main thing I was "trying" to say from the start is that calling a place a puppy mill without visiting, or knowing people who have been there, is just not fair. However, I do feel she has way to many dogs now.
And as I am reading other posts I see I am now being judged rather harshly and that is unfair, you don't know me.
I had forgotten about this board and found it again when doing some research about yorkies and a health issue.
I am not defending puppy mills, I tend to side on the side of the breeder until there is proof because i have seen some very bad things happen to people I know who breed and only have a few dogs. Lives turned upside down. and I mean to people who are not puppy mills.
PS: I have been sick with the flu for the last few days and so I haven't been online.
