If it were my dog i would go on a bland home cooked diet- white rice and boiled chicken breast until his stomach is back to normal. I would also be giving pro biotic plain yogurt to help his stomach balance back out. If your dog is having diarrhea- plain canned pumpkin (not the spiced kind that you put in pie- just plain pumpkin) will take care of that.
I would do this for maybe 5-7 days and then slowly start adding his food back in.

My Vet told me that I should not cook for the dog. Our food has so many ingredients that are not good for them, including chicken. I should pick a food and stick to it. Eventually, a dog will eat.
Then there are the added vitamins that the can shows, so that is what you couldn't put into the food you cook for them.
