Is it complete and balanced? Yes
Is it going to negatively affect your dog? I don't know, but it will likely be fine.
Are there better foods out there that maybe should be looked at first? IMO, yes.
In your opinion then, what is another canned or dry dog food (not home cooked) that would be used for the same reason as the Science Diet I/D - for stomach problems - and that is better than SD I/D? Because I asked this question I believe when Tatum was sick and we didn't yet know that it was being caused by the Innova and I thought she would have to be on it indefinitely. I didn't get a straight answer then. Some of us really don't have the time OR the desire to actually cook for our dogs so a store-bought food is really necessary for some. I would love to know if there's something better out there for those times when your dog needs a bland diet like the I/D.
