It all depends on what you find easier. Not familiar with the distances you have to travel. What I usually do is bathe at the hotel....do the ironing after I'm set up, but I do put the sides of my dog into scrunchies....just to keep the coat clean from the leg hiesting. But, if you don't bathe every day and put your dog back into wraps after the show, just leave them on until the next day when you get to the show grounds.......The preference is yours as to what works best for your schedule. No, wraps don't have to be a certain color.....That's something that you can have fun with....
At Christmas time I use red and green wraps......halloween I use orange and black wraps....just whatever tickles your imagination.
