Default FHO/Femoral Head Ostectomy Experience

Hey all,

I am looking to see some results of other yorkie owners to see if Mya's post-op results are normal! This February will be a year since her FHO on her right hip when she was 8 months old.

My questions are:
1. Does your baby still carry the leg ever? Mya does sometimes...obviously she uses it more often than not but it isn't used 100% of the time. She doesn't seem to be in any pain ever though even though she does get touchy when I brush or pet around the scar out of nervousness probably.

2. Do you get nervous about the other hip being diagnosed?

3. Do you worry that Luxating Patella could arise because of the overuse of the good leg for so long?

4. I still hear a pop SOMETIMES, not often, but when I straighten her leg or move it a certain way...I think it might just be the false joint hitting itself but I still freak out.

Anyway, would love to hear everyone's experience and long-term/short-term results!
