| FHO/Femoral Head Ostectomy Experience Hey all, I am looking to see some results of other yorkie owners to see if Mya's post-op results are normal! This February will be a year since her FHO on her right hip when she was 8 months old. My questions are: 1. Does your baby still carry the leg ever? Mya does sometimes...obviously she uses it more often than not but it isn't used 100% of the time. She doesn't seem to be in any pain ever though even though she does get touchy when I brush or pet around the scar out of nervousness probably. 2. Do you get nervous about the other hip being diagnosed? 3. Do you worry that Luxating Patella could arise because of the overuse of the good leg for so long? 4. I still hear a pop SOMETIMES, not often, but when I straighten her leg or move it a certain way...I think it might just be the false joint hitting itself but I still freak out. Anyway, would love to hear everyone's experience and long-term/short-term results!

| Did she have Legg Perthes? Toby had the op at the start of December. Would be interested in your replies. 1.Been 6 weeks since Toby had the op, he is starting to put the leg down quite a bit now, but seems to hold it up when he is standing up. Seems to use it more when he is really distracted, playing, walking etc. He has no problems with me touching the area at all, but absolutley hates getting that side of him dried after hydro. It is still sore/sensitive. 2.I asked the vet about getting it in the other leg, and they said it is possible, but usually if you get by the 1 yr old mark, it is less likely. 3. Never even though about LP in the good leg. Will ask the vet tonight. 4. I heard a crunching noise in Tobys hip when I was holding him after hydrotherapy last week. Made me cringe.
