I am really thinking maybe she sensed something was wrong with the smaller pup that she killed. You just never can tell about a mother dog's instinct. I just didn't want her hurting the other two because I would feel terrible if I let anything happen to them and she has already lost two. I will keep everyone updated on how they do, but so far so good.
Moving her to a more secluded area was a good idea.
Some nervious moms don't like other dogs around and will try to hide or kill the babies if they feel threatened.
Just keep all dogs away from her and the babies.
If she seem comfortable in what she is in now and the pups seem warm then I would leave her be.
You can drape a sheet or blanket over part of the hole to close it up more.
If you see mom panting to much it mean she is to warm.
Remove the sheet or blanket so she can get more air.

Moms for the first few weeks are very protective about their babies so leaving her alone for now might be a good idea.
Just quick peek to see babies are OK but I wouldn't be handling them to much until she get through her over protective stage.

Good luck with the other 2 babies.
