Thought I'd ask here. We bought Garmins for our kids (grown) & they haven't updated the maps, but really need to. Today, my sil called & was trying to do the same thing. She bought the communicator plug-in & now trying to download.
Does it really cost $100 for updates?
Hope not! It states that the first update is free, I think, if you registered......which they didn't!
There is also a Lifetime update available, but don't know the price? You have to plug in this communicator device first which I don't have yet.
So if anyone has tackled this update process, any advice would be greatly appreciated! THANKS!
