I think your dog got "excited." The same thing happened to my non-yorkie and I had never seen it before. Scared the bejeesus out of me because he was still on all fours, but he was just humping air basically. I called the vet. They made the most shy girl there call me back and tell me it is normal, and that is what happens when dogs mate.
