sounds like mvd so when they do spay ask about doing a liver biopsy as that will give you the most firm diagnosis - my dogs numbers were pre 3 and post 73 then 54 then 26 she is on low protein diet no supplements and she has gone under twice once for spay and once for dental and she did beautifully - if no symptoms i would not stress and just do low protein diet as my dd has no symptoms either -it is when they have symptoms when you need to be more concerned about shunt and when post is over 100
i would not do protein c as that is not very accurate at all and her bile acids are not over 100 and no symptoms - does vet have you feeding low protein of 22% as 22% for no symptoms 18% with symptoms - my girl is on 18% protein
