I'm not suggesting this necessarily, but perhaps an idea might come from what I'm thinking. So, if the girl lives in an apartment complex, and if they are anything like the many I have lived in throughout my life, they have a pet policy. I doubt this person with the chihuahua would put down an additional deposit or even notify the apartment manager that she has a new pet. It is my experience that management may enter a home to make sure the residents are not in violation of their lease if they suspect anything. An unauthorized pet would be a violation. Those are my thoughts, and I will refrain from making any direct recommendations. Unfortunately, I don't know how apartments are in Florida as far as their policies. I just wanted to offer any help I could. Cookie was the first thing on my mind this morning, and I want nothing more than to see this sweet baby back home. My heart goes out to you Gen.

All my love,
Jenny

Now that's a thought...Only I thought that apt managers are to notify the resident prior to entering. This would tip off this girl to hide any additional dogs that are not listed on the lease.
