I read somewhere it's best not to make a big deal of leaving. Don't fuss over her just before you leave to go somewhere and when you get home wait a minute or so before making a fuss over her. I made the mistake of fawning over my first yorkie when I left and returned. Took the advice I just posted and Sophie isn't a whiner when we leave to go somewhere or when we return. She just accepts that we'll be back soon
