how old is she? Layla was the same way until she was about a year- then she became ok with my being away.
However, the groomer, I think, is a separate issue. I used to bring Layla to petsmart to be groomed- she hated it- when she came home i would have to carry her around for days. I can't even bring her into petsmart without her shaking- i feel awful for ever leaving her there. I think the blowdryer in the cage really upset her as she still shakes when I blow dry her. I now groom her at home. The inital investment in tools was big but i KNOW i would have already spent 3 times that if i had continued to bring her to be groomed professionally.

I had never groomed anything before and now i do Layla- and i think she looks ok
