I'm really worried about him going for the surgery! Since this is my first puppy ever, I'm not too sure which things I should make sure he has and which options I should opt out of. I called the vet and they said that the base surgical fee is $305.02 and the exam before the surgery is $59.32. I then have the option of providing him with additional support such as: IV fluids, medication, and respertory, they check blood pressure for $47.25, fluid therapy if needed for $29.40, give mediation and an e-collar for $35, Microchip for $60.06, and anesthetic monitoring.

Now, my question is..which out of these would be a good idea to do? If I should be getting it all then I will (which comes up to $585.91), I just want to know if there are certain things that I don't really need or Nicco won't really need. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!
That does sound high. I got Duke done at 4mos and it was just over $200. That included all the blood work, and his pain meds. The microchip would have been and extra $50. Sounds like some of the stuff they want to charge extra for they should be doing anyway. They want to charge you to check his blood pressure? You might want to get some other vet recommendations. JMO
